Casa de la Vida

The house is a work of art, built on a double-lot, the large wooden doors open up to a beautiful large courtyard garden filled with lavender, fruit trees and abundance of greenery.Situated in Lindavista, a quiet upcoming area of San Miguel you will find a home unlike any other. Casa de la Vida, designed and built by the owner is one of the first in San Miguel to be considered planet-friendly and constructed from 50 percent of recycled materials, amazing Talavera china and beautiful different colors of mosaic from factories in Dolores Hidalgo and other parts of Mexico.

The main house has an open plan living room with gas fireplace, music room with grand piano and spacious fully equipped kitchen complete with wine cellar. Upstairs you will find a large study, master bedroom, guest room and full bathroom. A large terrace on the roof top offers unobstructed views of the city and the picacho mountains, ideal place to barbecue or entertain. The elevator from the bottom of the house to the rooftop makes it easy to host any event and even has music playing when you step inside.

The casita has a living room with fireplace, dining-room, full kitchen and an oversized bedroom with two queen beds and an en-suite bathroom.

The home also has 7 beautiful bovedas all with different designs.

The remote - controlled garage attached to the main house has a wonderful workshop and separate laundry room.

Other amazing environmental features of this home include a large underground rainwater cistern for water captured from the top roof, a smaller underground cistern for captured gray water, two Bosch solar hot-water systems, 3 tankless water heaters and 10 solar panels resulting in no electric bills. Heating-cooling is provided by three remote-controlled gas fireplaces that are vented, and 4 inverter heat-pump mini-splits.
