Hacienda Las Trancas

After being a family hacienda covering more than 400,000 hectares it became a fortress along the Silver Trail, It later was the summer home of the prestigious Count of the CANAL family who also owned the Allende Institute as their main home in San Miguel de Allende. (The architecture and dimensions of the two structures is quite similar). 

It has a long and fascinating history that includes Priest Miguel Hidalgo -Father of the Independence- Pancho Villa, Salvador Asanza and many other important figures. 

Each of the 12 suites has a different color scheme and is fully equipped with 1000-thread cotton bedding and duvets. Each w/ living room, bathroom w/ bathtub, gas fireplace, walls 8-12 ft. thick. 11 suites in the central garden. 1 with independent access. 

The central corridors are filled with comfortable sofas and hammocks and are adorned with various types of local art and crafts.

Construdia en 1546 es la seunda construccion mas antigua que se tenga registrado en todo el país, lo que la hace un monumento historico que se mantiene orgullosa de ser una de las pocas haciendas autencisa en Mexico. Despues de haber sido una Hacienda familiar compuesta por mas de 400,000 hectareas, se convirtió en una fortaleza para la recoleccion de Plata. Mas tarde fue la casa de verano de los Condes de la CANAL, familia a la cual perteneció el Instituto Allede como su hogar en San Miguel de Allende. (la arquitectura y laas dimensiones son muy similares) 

Cada una de las 12 habitaciones tien un color diferente y estan decoradas con ropa de camas y edredones de algodon de 1000 hilos. Cada una con sala, baño con tina, chimenea de gas, con muros de 8-10 pies de grosor. 11 suites en el jardin central y una con acceso independiente. 

El corredor central está lleno con comodos sofas y hamacas decorados con artesanías de la region.
