These are the owner’s own words, describing her amazing property which started as an incredible journey some 37 years ago, when she bought a piece of unattended land close to the mountains. This beautiful property is located 15 to 20 minutes driving distance from San Miguel de Allende and some 5 minutes away from Atotonilco, both UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

The property can be accessed via the road to Dolores Hidalgo. It is located within a gated entrance. There are 4 main structures in this 14 hectares (34.77 acres) piece of property: a small 2 story cottage, with 2 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms and a kitchen. The first home built by the owner in the land! Then you have another larger one floor cottage with a wrap-around porch and with an exquisitely decorated flowery vine entrance. The other 2 structures are a one floor house that has a master bedroom with full bathroom and a very large kitchen, which the owner uses for cooking classes, special events, etc. This also has a wrap-around porch and plenty of entertaining areas. Finally, there is a large party pavilion, which even counts with the liquor license for all your events! There are plenty of natural brick and stone pathways, water features that join all of these special places.

Las Hadas Madrinas (Fairy Godmothers), as the owner has named this land, is full of magic and enchantment. With its more than 600 olive trees that produce organic olive oil, Tilapia, pond, beautiful mature Cypress trees, herb and vegetable garden and even chicken pen, one can certainly turn it into a special retreat center, special event venue or even a vineyard, since permaculture experts from Australia have made a study with respect the land and what grapes can be grown there!

The land counts with underground irrigation system, a natural water well with a permit to extract 50,000 cubic meters of water per year, electric lines, pumps and transformers.
