Originally from Mexico City, Luis received training in administration and sales and worked his way up to sales supervisor. After meeting his lovely wife, they took a break from big city life and headed to Cancun where he introduced tourists to beach life including sport fishing and scuba diving.
After discovering that his wife was pregnant, they decided that he should turn in his wet suit for a business suit and they moved to the San Miguel de Allende area.
While seeking out a real estate agent on my first trip to San Miguel de Allende, I had the good fortune to be matched up with Luis Alvarado from San Miguel Realty. He is a great listener and very patient. Luis spent a great deal of time driving me around to different neighborhoods so we could assess what might be a good fit. He even showed us houses in Guanajuato. In the end, we found our hopefully forever home and we have Luis to thank for helping us navigate this process.
We worked with Luis Alvarado over a two year span on three different trips before moving permanently to SMA. Luis was patient and kind throughout this process. We looked at over 25 houses before buying our wonderful home in Los Frailes. Not only did Luis find and manage our first rental (not easy with four big dogs) but he eventually led us to our gardener, housekeeper and the incredible architect who oversaw the renovation of our new home. Luis has great insight into the different neighborhoods, is fluent in English and has a great sense of humor. He needed this last attribute as we kept changing our home search criteria……enough to drive anyone batty! Highly recommend Luis Alvarado!
