It normally only takes between three to five weeks to receive the registered deed. 

However, since San Miguel de Allende is a small town and the public registry has limited staff, occasionally there are delays. Sometimes they are running several weeks behind, for example, when one of their employees is out on maternity leave and there is no one to replace her. For this reason, we often tell our clients three to eight weeks.
