Even when a property is being sold in “as is” condition, we generally recommend having an inspection done just to ensure that you aren’t unknowingly inheriting a major issue.

The exception would be if you are buying a property with the intention of doing a total or major renovation, where much of what is existing will be upgraded anyway.
